Answer: Sell-it4u is Cedar Rapids' original eBay drop-off service. Sell-it4u started as a business concept in 2000 and was founded as a web business in 2003. We take your quality goods and sell them on eBay for you.
- What can be sold through
Sell-it4u?
Answer: We accept a wide variety of items, from computers and antiques to handbags and musical instruments. Items must be legal to sell on eBay, be shippable by USPS or UPS, have an eBay value of over $50 and weigh less than 75 pounds. Visit our What Sells page for more info.
- What's the benefit to the
consumer?
Answer: Ease and convenience are the greatest consumer benefits. We are staffed with experts in photography, ad copy, research and customer service. Sell-it4u does all the work, and you collect the check.
- How long are the eBay auctions?
Answer: Sell-it4u will determine the optimal auction duration based upon the item. Typically,seven or ten days are used.
- Why is there a desired minimum
$50 selling price for an item?
Answer: The processing costs involved are such that accepting items of a lesser value would result in customers receiving very little in return for their goods and Sell-it4u as the seller little for their efforts.
- How much does it cost to
use Sell-it4u's services?
Answer: Sell-it4u charges a progressive commission, based on the item's final sale price:
- 30% of the first $500
- 25 % of the next $500 ($500.01-$1000)
- 20% of the remaining amount (over $100.01)

- How can customers check the
status of their items?
Answer: We try to post the items in a timely manner. Sometimes it may take awhile to get the items listed depending on quantities involved. Customers can always visit the Auctions page to check the status of an item once it is posted.
